Welcome to the historic South Lyon Theater!
It was opened 1945 and remains an iconic venue, rich with local history and significance.
The South Lyon Theater is a woman owned / family business and has been hosting events for our community since 2015.
The theater closed during the COVID pandemic and has undertaken major renovations to create a unique entertainment venue. With construction completed in 2023, SLT now boasts a new 1000 sq ft of flexible dining and entertainment space, new bar and lounge area, new marquee panels with LED lighting and updated bathrooms…plus a lot more.
We are opening our venue to private events and rentals. Customers will have the opportunity to use Dolby Digital Surround Sound and digital theater projection systems to incorporate exceptional audio and visual experiences into every event. We have added functionality to play your favorite video game or stream content directly to the 30 ft movie screen. You can expect a memorable experience. We’re perfect for weddings, showers, birthday parties, corporate meetings, private film screenings, fundraisers, class reunions, bachelorette parties, church services, wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsals etc. We will put your name or event or message in lights on our large updated marquee. Our new floor space can accommodate plays, concerts, dance recitals, improv, yoga or pilates classes or any community event that needs seating for up to 170 people.

Public parking is free on the street and in large lot across the street behind buildings and also directly behind the theater in the post office lot. You can drop-off curbside directly in front of the theater entrance.
